REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS (RFP) PROPOSAL FOR RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT INITIATIVES/IDEAS UNDER RENEWABLE ENERGY AND ENERGY EFFICIENCY PROJECTS-2nd PHASE Infrastructure Development Company Limited (IDCOL) has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Rural Electrification and Renewable Energy Development (RERED) - II Project, and intends to apply part of the proceeds for Selection of Individual or Firm for the Research and Development of Solar Cold Storage/Waste to Energy/Solar Irrigation Projects Suitable for Bangladesh (Package No.: S-32 under REREDPII). IDCOL now intends to select proposals for conducting R&D on solar cold storage, waste to energy and prepaid billing system for irrigation. An Evaluation Committee independent of IDCOL will evaluate the proposals. Evaluation would be carried out for each application area separately. We will also focus on specific crops like tomato, cauliflower, cabbage, cucumber, etc. Relevant experiences of promoting early/late/off season varieties of vegetables will be an added advantage.
